Organizational Structure

The organizational structure of the agency has been stated in the Article 7 of the Law numbered 5449. Accordingly, the Agency is composed of Development Council, Executive Board, Secretariat General and Investment Support Offices. According to the respective articles of the same law, Executive Board is the decision-making body, Development Council is the advisory body and Secretariat General is the executive body. As per the Article 29 of the Regulation on the Working Procedures and Principles of the Development Agencies and the decision of the Executive Board dated 16.12.2009 and numbered 2009/5, the organizational chart of the Agency is shown below.

Executive Board

Executive Board is the decision-making body of the agency. Chairperson of the Executive Board shall be executed by the governor of the province determined as the administrative centre of the agency for the first year and by the other governors in the region in alphabetical order of the provinces for the following years by turns for a one-year period. Executive Board consists of 12 members

 

Development Council

Development Council is the advisory board of the agency. Development Council was established in order to develop cooperation among the state institutions and organizations, private sector, non-governmental organizations, universities and local administrations and direct the agency for the objective of the regional development. Development Council consists of 100 members.
